A minor girl and a woman were reportedly raped in separate incidents in Punjab.
According to a police report, a 14-year-old girl was raped after being kidnapped from her house.
A complaint filed by Ejaz Ahmed, a resident of Ghulam Muhammadabad area, stated that when he left home for a mosque for prayers on March 22, he asked his 14-year-old daughter to close the door. Meanwhile, Ehsan, along with his accomplice kidnapped his daughter from her house at gunpoint and took her in the basement of a hotel near Lorry Ada where the two men raped her.
Later on March 24, the suspects left the girl at her aunt’s home in Gujranwala and fled, the complainant told the police. Police registered a case under section 376 PPC against the two suspects and conducted raids to arrest them.
Separately, a suspect Adnan called a woman from Sargodha Road to Millat Chowk on the pretext of giving her a job in a factory. She was taken on a motorcycle to an unknown place where the suspect sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, the complainant said. Sargodha Road police registered a case against the suspect under section 376 PPC and started searching for him.
