Sindh reports 3 deaths, 200 Covid infections

The provincial pandemic tally stands at 263,663 while the death toll climbs to 4,482

KARACHI:

After two days of no coronavirus-related fatalities reported, Sindh saw three coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday and 200 fresh cases, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's House on the day.

With the recent cases and fatalities, the provincial pandemic tally stood at 263,663 while the death toll climbed to 4,482, said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

As many as 253,981 persons, including 146 overnight, have also recovered from the contagion, he added.

Elaborating further, the CM said that 6,304 tests were conducted between Monday and Tuesday and over 3.2 million tests have been conducted in the province thus far.

Of the 200 new infections, 91 emerged in the metropolis.

As of Tuesday, 5,200 patients were under treatment for the contagion. Of them 4,925 were in home isolation, eight in isolation centres and 267 at different hospitals. The condition of 247 patients was stated to be critical, including 37 shifted to ventilators.
