LAHORE:

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has demanded from the opposition to reconsider their Long March on March 26.

Speaking to the media on the occasion of his visit to Race Club Lahore on Sunday, he said, “It is not in the interest of the nation to criticize Pakistan Armed forces. There is no danger of a no-confidence motion against Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. I do not foresee any protest rally of PDM against Punjab government.”

He said that there is no doubt that the number of coronavirus cases in Punjab had surged. “Therefore, I would like to ask the opposition to reconsider the long march in view of the coronavirus situation. I hope the opposition will not endanger the lives of the people for politics.”

The protection of the lives and property of the people is the responsibility of the government and we will ensure this protection, he claimed.

“The PDM should accept the results of senate chairperson polls. Sadiq Sanjrani won the election in accordance with the law. The opposition should not make this issue controversial.” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf stands with the chief minister and we will continue to serve the public.
