No Covid-19 fatalities reported in Sindh on Saturday

Pandemic death toll in the province stands at 4,453, infection tally has climbed to 261,178

Another 220 coronavirus cases were detected in Sindh on Saturday, when no contagion-related fatalities were reported in the province, according to a statement issued by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

As a result, the CM said, while the pandemic death toll in the province stands at 4,453, the infection tally has climbed to 261,178.

Out of the 220 new cases, 99 were reported in Karachi, with 61 detected in East district, 12 in South district, nine in Malir and Korangi each, six in Central district and two in West district. Moreover, 15 cases belonged to Larkana and Matiari, 14 to Hyderabad, eight to Badin, seven to Mirpurkhas and Tando Muhammad Khan each, six to Jacobabad and Thatta each, five to Ghotki, four to Jamshoro, and three to Qambar-Shahdadkot, Sujawal, Tando Allahyar and Naushero Feroze each, two to Umerkot, one to Shaheed Benazirabad and four to Khairpur.

Besides, the CM said, 49 more Covid-19 patients had regained health, lifting the total number of recoveries in the province to 252,674.

He said 4,051 patients were under treatment for the infection, with 3,757 in home isolation, 10 in isolation centres and 285 admitted to hospitals.
