A spontaneous exchange between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry and Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar over social media was witnessed on Friday after lawmakers from the opposition claimed to have found 'spy cameras' before today's polls for the position of Senate chair and deputy chair.
Earlier in the day, PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar had claimed that he and PML-N Senator Musadik Malik found "spy cameras" above the polling booth.

Responding to the opposition's claims, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry opined that the camera looked "more like a CCTV cable" and that "spy cameras are far more sophisticated".
He then called for the Senate secretary to look into the claim
Appears more like a CCTV cable, spy cameras are far more sophisticated Seceratay Senate should look into this claim https://t.co/JFmynURhtB

After his initial tweet, Chaudhry, in an attempt to 'educate' opposition lawmakers and his Twitter followers shared a picture of a spy camera.
"The camera can be fitted in the head of a nail. The detection of such cameras is impossible. In all likelihood, the CCTV camera cable has been misunderstood as a spy camera," he maintained.

It was in response to this tweet that the PPP Senator stated, "Thanks. We will check for those too. Cheers brother!"

The back and forth between the PTI and PPP senators continued as Khokhar in yet another tweet thanked Chaudhry for "the lead" and voiced his intentions to now also be on the lookout for the type of cameras shared by Chaudhry.

As luck would have it, the PPP senator even managed to find the camera shared by Chaudhry, hidden in what appeared to be a wooden partition placed near the polling booth.
Tweeting a picture of the 'camera', Khokhar stated, "There's absolutely no need for a screw on this... camera visible in the scew."
