Target killings: Four people gunned down in Balochistan

The victims died in separate incidents of violence across the province.

QUETTA:
Two labourers from Sindh rural areas were gunned down by unidentified gunmen in Turbat on Wednesday, a senior police officer told The Express Tribune.

Attackers riding motorcycles targeted the victims as they were on their way to the Turbat bazaar. All of the deceased, identified as Ghulam Yasin and Abdul Razziq, were working at a construction site in Malikabad. Both belonged to Kandhkot.

“The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained, but police are trying to arrest the culprits involved in this heinous crime,” said Abdul Latif, a local police officer.


Meanwhile, two people, including a school teacher, were killed and two others injured in separate incidents of firing in Quetta. A schoolteacher, identified as Abdul Karim, was gunned down in the Kechi Baig area on the Saryab road.

Another man was gunned down and two others sustained injuries near the western bypass area over a land dispute. Eyewitness reports said that the attackers were all wearing masks when they barged into the house of Abdul Manan and opened fire on him. Manan died on the spot while two others sustained injuries. The deceased and injured were taken to Civil Hospital. The injured were identified as Mohammad Ishaq and Abdul Qayyum.
