In a recent turn of events, Bollywood actor Rohit Saraf, who has appeared in various popular films such as The Sky Is Pink, Ludo and Hichki, shared a photo on his Instagram with a caption most Pakistanis would adore.
Sharing a candid picture of himself smiling away from the camera, Rohit shared his love for Pakistani singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Shamoon Ismail. "Can’t stop listening to @shamoonismail‘s music," he said, "What about you?"
In response, Shamoon commented with emoticons to express his gratitude. He also shared Rohit's post on his Instagram stories.
Shamoon is a favourite of most youngsters in Pakistan today for his unique choice in music which has more of a western influence as opposed to the eastern touch found in the music sense of local artists generally.
In November, Shamoon even returned with a live performance which was interrupted and abruptly stopped midway. He was pumped to be back on stage at Karachi's Avari towers and welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd who grooved to his tracks until the police and commissioner of Karachi intervened.
According to reports, the Rung singer was asked to stop performing over violation of SOPs issued by the government for Covid-19. But it seems the Late Night crooner's fan following is only increasing and maybe if more Bollywood actors start listening to Shamoon, who knows where we'll see him next.
