ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday said the decision of seeking a vote of no confidence against Prime Minister Imran Khan would be taken with the consensus of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and at a time of the alliance's choosing.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad along with former premier Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, the PPP leader said the premier seeking a vote of confidence in an effort to 'save face'.

“This is all a drama. This puppet show will soon end,” he said. “He has lost the confidence of the National Assembly and has been rejected by his own MNAs and allies. You must submit your resignation.”

“We believe we have to save Punjab first,” he said. “But all the decisions would be taken by the leadership of PDM with consensus.”

Regarding Senate elections, Bilawal said the premier has claimed that he knows which lawmakers did not vote for Hafeez Shiekh.

“Why don’t you expel them from the national assembly and your party then?” Bilawal asked the prime minister, adding that he also knows who is with the ruling party in the treasury benches but their hearts are not with PTI.

“The MNAs know that they do not see a future with PTI,” he said.

He added that PPP’s narrative from the beginning was to help the people of this country and get rid of the "IFM-allied government".

“PM Imran Khan has sucked the blood of every Pakistani by making false promises. You will not be able to run anywhere. We will not give you any NRO,” Bilawal asserted.

“We believe that all the parties in PDM will struggle for the people of the country, as far as the government intuitions are concerned, we have always believed that they should work within their ambit,” Bilawal added

Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that PM Imran seeking a vote of confidence vindicates their stance.

“He can only take the vote of confidence when the president believes that the prime minister has lost his majority. So this means the president believes that he has,” Gilani added
