The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has deployed over 400 vehicles for the timely lifting of solid waste from sore points.
Over 9,000 workers are present in the field and the company has conducted special cleanliness operation with the help of additional machinery and lifted more than 8,000 tonnes of waste from the city. LWMC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Imran Ali Sultan highlighted that the company is all up and alert to provide the best possible cleanliness services to the citizens of Lahore.
He directed the officials concerned to ensure all resources in the field to clear the entire backlog as maintaining cleanliness is the top priority and core function of the establishment. He indicated that all senior officials are monitoring ongoing cleanliness operation. The company will not disappoint the citizens of Lahore and the best cleanliness arrangements would be ensured in the city. Meanwhile, LWMC General Manager Operation Sohail Anwar Malik paid a visit to multiple areas of the city to monitor the ongoing operation. He visited Singhpura Mandi, Mughalpura, Shalamar Bagh, Garhi Shahu, Mayo Hospital, Abbott Road, Laxmi Chowk and Nisbat road followed by the other areas of the city.
