This year’s Golden Globes offered a myriad of red carpet looks, setting the rhythm for 2021 fashion. Celebrities exhibited playful yet colourful outfits, ranging from forest green and coral pink to classic black and neon tones.
Compiled from Vogue, here are the fashion forward icons who brought their A-game to the hybrid award show.
Anya Taylor in Dior
Popular for her role of Beth Harmon in The Queen’s Gambit, Taylor grabbed everyone’s attention in a Sacramento green, lurex gown made by Christian Dior. Channeling the 70s look on the red carpet, the 24-year-old bagged Best Actress for her portrayal of the chess prodigy.
Elle Fanning in Gucci
Serving more of an ice princess vibe in a powder blue ensemble, Fanning looked like a real-life Elsa. She donned an evening gown designed by Gucci. Known for her take on avant-garde dresses from Maleficent, the actor completed her look with a sleek hair bun and silver jewellery.
Cynthia Erivo in Valentino
While most of the ladies displayed glamour with the hint of elegance, English actor Erivo knocked it out of the park in a trendy number. The Harriet starlet carried a neon-green Valentino SS21 gown in mesh fabric, surely turning heads at the extravaganza.
Lily Collins in Saint Laurent
Sporting a one-shoulder dress, the Love Rosie actor channeled her inner Emily in Paris at the award ceremony. Collins opted for a slim-fit Saint Laurent gown, embroidered with paisleys in earthy hues and a sultry side-cut adding extra glam to the outfit.
Sarah Paulson in Prada
The American Horror Story star slipped into an off-shoulder embellished gown by design house Prada. The black colour provide for the perfect contrast against the purple cast on her right arm. Paulson paired her attire with a sleek hairstyle and party makeup.
