14 people died in Punjab road accidents within 24 hours

1,102 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 907 male and 195 female victims

At least 14 persons were killed in 1,001 road traffic crashes (RTC) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the past 24 hours.

As per the details, as many as 1,088 sustained injuries in these road crashes.

Out of the total injured, 665 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals whereas 423 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site.

The majority, around 64 percent, involved motorcycles.

Furthermore, the analysis showed that 419 drivers, 35 underage drivers, 180 pedestrians, and 503 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes.

The statistics showed that 270 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 281 persons, placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by 83 in Faisalabad with 88 victims and Gujranwala at third with 70 RTCs and 73 victims.

The details further revealed that 1,102 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 907 male and 195 female victims.

The age group of the victims showed that 221 were under 18 years of age, 553 were between 18 and 40 years and the remaining 328 victims were reported to be above 40 years of age.
