Describing legendary dramatists and artists as the asset of the nation, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri said they were the most sensitive segment of society and were an agent of positive change.
He expressed these views while meeting a delegation of the Pride of Performance holders artistes and dramatists who called on him at the Parliament House the other day.
Suri said the government was making efforts to bring about a positive change for the citizens, particularly the youth.
He said the Pakistan Television and Radio Pakistan needed to be brought on a par with the modern standards.
The delegation comprised famous PTV actors, namely A D Baloch, Anjum Habib, Habib Panezai, Jahan Sultana Noshaba, Najeeb Ullah Anjum, Rafique Ahmed Memon Esani, Jehanzeb Qamar, Anjum Hussain Habibi, Nadia Fayyaz, Tahir Farooq Sadequi and Yasir Arafat.
