CCTV cameras installed outside Haleem’s room at JPMC
Closed-circuit television cameras were installed outside the room of opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) on Wednesday.
The cameras, installed to monitor who visits the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader, were mounted under the supervision of police authorities.
Haleem- who was arrested by Sindh Police over charges of interfering in the election process in Malir’s PS-88 by-election last week- was shifted on Monday to the orthopaedic ward at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), where he was moved from jail on Sunday night.
That was after the Sindh government accepted his request for being shifted to the hospital.
In the request, Haleem had stated that he suffered from angina and hypertension and doctors had been advising him to undergo angiography.
