Late legendary actor Sridevi passed away in her hotel room in Dubai on February 24, 2018, following a major cardiac arrest. Marking her third death anniversary, the Chandni actor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor shared a handwritten message on Instagram.
It appears to be written by Sridevi for Janhvi, and reads, "I love you my labbu. You are the best baby in the world." The latter captioned the post, “Miss you.” Sridevi and her widower Boney Kapoor’s youngest daughter Khushi also shared a throwback picture of her parents on the photo-sharing platform.
Last February, the Dhadak actor had posted a black-and-white photo from her childhood where she could be seen hugging her mother on a sofa. "Miss you every day," Janhvi captioned the photo at the time. During the coronavirus lockdown last year, Jahnvi had penned another note, counting her blessings and sharing how her father has become lonely after Sridevi’s tragic demise.
“Before lockdown, whenever my father was home, he would wait for me and Khushi to come back from work to spend time with us. I would never see him wait. But now, when I wake up, I go across the hall and see him alone on the sofa smiling because he has us to himself the whole day.”
In an earlier interview with The Indian Express, Janhvi confessed how difficult it is for her to watch her mother’s films. She had said, “It was hard for me to watch her films. I remember watching Chalbaaz at one point. They (other characters) were very mean to her in the film. They were very rude to her, so I couldn’t watch it. I loved watching Sadma because she made Kamal ji (Haasan) cry. Even during English Vinglish, I remember at the Toronto Film Festival, I was sitting in the theatre and clenching my wrist because the daughter in the film was very rude to her.”
