I must be dreaming: Dananeer over the moon after Bollywood recognition

Many Bollywood stars like Sidharth Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone shared their take on viral 'pawri' video

Pakistani content creator Dananeer Mobeen’s ‘Pawri Ho Rahi Hai’ video has taken over Bollywood, with actor Shahid Kapoor and the team of his upcoming yet-to-be-titled web series, being among the first to adopt the trend and she could not be more ecstatic!

The cast members recreated and improvised the viral meme on the sets, clips of which were shared by Kapoor on his Instagram handle.

 

The TV series, helmed by Raj and DK is an upcoming big-budget web show, starring Raashi Khanna, reported The Indian Express. In the post uploaded by Kapoor, the film-maker says, “Yeh mere stars hai, yeh hum hai, aur yahan pawri ho rahi hai." Kapoor carries on dancing in his chair while singing Honey Singh’s Party All Night.

On the other hand, Extraction actor Randeep Hooda also recreated the meme in an Instagram video, with the hashtag ‘Pawri ho Rahi hai’.

Dananeer, however, was extremely grateful for the love and appreciation. The latest social media sensation took to Instagram and shared her excitement over how Bollywood stars have re-enacted her viral clip.

"Someone pinch me!" she exclaimed on her Instagram story. "I must be dreaming!" In another post, sharing Indian star Sidharth Malhotra's post, she wrote, "Fan moment!"

The original was made by Dananeer during a trip with her friends to the northern areas of Pakistan. While the mere purpose of her video was to take a dig at a certain gentry, it has crossed five million views until now.

On the other hand, Indian content maker and Kokila Ben famed Yashraj Mukhate’s Pawri mashup has accumulated 18 million views in just five days.

The Instagram following of the internet sensation grew exponentially over the last week.
