Rangers official killed in accident

KARACHI:

A Rangers official was killed and six persons, including two Rangers personnel, were injured in a road accident on Shah Faisal Colony flyover, in the limits of Sharafi Goth police station, late on Friday night.

According to Sharafi Goth SHO Adeel Shah, the accident took place as the driver of a speeding car lost control of the vehicle and it hit a Rangers mobile, in which paramilitary personnel were patrolling the area, from the rear.

As a result, seven persons, including three Rangers personnel, were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.

One of the Rangers official, identified as Havaldar Tufail, succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital, and the condition of other victims was said to be critical at the time of filing of this report.
