Romanian electro-pop sensation Adrian Sina and band Akcent already has a surfeit of fans scattered in Pakistan. With his latest antics, he's only adding on to the existing fan-base. The singer and songwriter was seen vaunting a kurta at a European music festival, reported The Current.

In a Facebook post, Sina confirmed that the kurta was indeed from Pakistan, as speculated by fans. “Setting new trends with my beautiful Pakistani kurta on a YouTube Music Event in Europe,” Sina said he was wearing the Pakistani garment as a style statement, not just homage to Pakistan. He was just simply trying to set a new fashion trend.

This is not the first time that the Romanian singer has expressed love and appreciation for Pakistani culture. Previously, in an Instagram session with a local outlet, he expressed his desire to work with actor and occasional singer Ayesha Omar. During the session, he was asked as to which Pakistani actor he would love to work with.

Kurta with jeans or pants has always been a fashion statement at music festivals rather than your typical pair of kurta-shalwar or pajama. It was a huge fashion trend in the West back in 1960s and 1970s when the hippie movement lead the trends.
