Karachi violence: Three killed, situation tense in Lyari
Situation tense in Lyari after grenade attack injured former leader of the defunct People’s Amn Committee.

Three people have been killed in different areas of Karachi, while the situation in Lyari remains tense after multiple grenade attacks in the area, Express 24/7 reported on Wednesday.
A 55 year old worker of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) was shot dead in Baldia Town Sector-8 after he left his house for work.
Police found two unidentified bodies near the Rasala area and Pankha Hotel in Shershah. The bruises on the bodies suggested that the victims had been tortured to death.
Earlier, a grenade attack by unknown assailants had critically injured five people including the former leader of the defunct People’s Amn Committee, Zafar Baloch.
There have been a number of incidents over the past four months in which unknown assailants riding motorcycles had hurled grenades at targets in Lyari. The People’s Amn Committee offices and leaders, inlcuding Uzair Baloch have been targeted by grenade attacks in the past.
