MUMBAI: Singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar is reportedly helping Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif in achieving her goal to master the art of strumming.
People are raving about Katrina Kaif's rockstar image in her upcoming film "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" (MBKD), but not just in films, the Bollywood actress is learning to play guitar even in real life.
Zafar is Katrina's co-star in MBKD, which is a love triangle and also stars Imran Khan and during the shoot of the film, he gave Katrina some guitar lessons.
"It was great working with Ali. The nice thing is that Ali is also a musician and since I'm learning how to play the guitar and I'm very interested in it, I'm trying to learn from whoever I can", said Katrina.
"Farhan Akhtar taught me some stuff during 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and Ali has also taught me some stuff during this film. He is a good teacher and we are trying to get into a form where we can play a live song together in one of the promotional events for this film very soon," Katrina told reporters here at the music launch of the film.

He's teaching her guitar? Not trying to discredit him or anything but I've never heard any advanced guitar work from him to be honest. He just plays rhythm guitar, which is rather basic as far as guitar playing goes (I also play guitar).

@maru: I am surprised and dejected about your comment. Your comment is an insult to decent people and their families. I have great respect for anyone's parents. Why should Ali Zafar's parents or he speak English at all. It is not mandatory for Zafar to speak English. He is welcome to Bollywood if he can communicate in Hindi/Urdu.Or he can learn if he does not.

Instead of Urdu Katrina should learn Hindustani- mixture of Urdu and Hindi- the lingua franca of urban UP. Well, Urdu sikhnemey bhi koi noksan nehi hai, na shikwa na geela ! I doubt whether Ali Zafar knows good Urdu

Just looks can take you to heights - Perfect example is Katrina Kaif. At least, Ali Zafar could've taught her some good urdu... so she can learn acting also!
Katrina is blooming like a flower. She landed in 2003 and from an unknown face she attained the top most heroine's position. She worked real hard and still works very hard. A thorough professional Katrina is learning Guiter. This girl or lady continues to surprise her with multi-talents ! Farhan and Ali Zafar are talented singers cum musicians. Carry on, Katrina dear !
