Covid claims seven more lives in Sindh
Sindh reports 545 fresh cases
The pandemic claimed seven more lives in Sindh lifting the provincial death toll to 4,066 while another 545 coronavirus cases were detected on Friday.
According to a statement issued from the Chief Minister's House, the total tally of coronavirus cases in Sindh stood at 250,042 on the day. Of these, 226,752 persons have recovered from the contagion including 338 between Thursday and Friday.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah apprised that at least 19,224 coronavirus patients were under treatment in Sindh. Of the known active cases, 18,581 were in home isolation, 15 at isolation centres and 628 were admitted at different hospitals.
He added that the condition of 580 patients was stated to be critical, with at least 77 shifted to ventilators. As many as 272 of the 545 fresh cases emerged in the port city.
These included 72 detected from East district, 71 Central, 60 South, 30 Korangi, 24 Malir and 14 from West district.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad reported 130, Sujawal 13, Tando Muhammad khan and Tando Allahyar 11 each, Mirpurkhas ten, Thatta nine, Khairpur, Sanghar and Kashmor eight each, Larkana seven, Nawabshah, Ghotki, Jacobabad and Umerkot five each, Sukkur, Dadu, Naushero Feroze, Matiari and Jamshoro four each, Qambar Shahdadkot two and Badin reported one.
Citizens were urged to follow pandemic-mandated SOPs.
