A federal anti-corruption court fixed on wdnesday February 25 for hearing two of 26 cases pertaining to corruption in the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and others are accused in the case.
The court fixed the dates for hearings on the request of the defence lawyer.
The lawyer stated that the accused were booked for the same charge in 26 separate cases and hence, the court may hear just one case, and the judgment given in the case may be applied to the rest of the cases.
At this, the court fixed the date for hearing two of the cases and adjourned the hearing of the rest of the cases until March 9.
Besides, the court issued arrest warrants for over 25 accused booked in the case, directing the FIA to arrest the accused and produce them before the court at the next hearing. The court also summoned witnesses at the next hearing.
