Two die as car rams into tree

A Rescue 1122 official said the car was traveling from Chistian to Tunsa Sharif when the accident happened

MUZAFFARGARH:

Two men were killed while another was injured after a speeding car struck a tree near Pathan hotel on Mianwali road on Wednesday.

Sources said the accident occurred after the car lost its control due to speeding. A rescue team reached the spot on information and shifted the injured and deceased to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.

A Rescue 1122 official said the car was traveling from Chistian to Tunsa Sharif when the accident happened.

The injured man identified as Jalaluddin, 84, is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital while the deceased were identified as Khwaja Ghulam Farid, 83, and Ashab Khan, 24.

Hundreds of citizens lose their lives in road accidents across Punjab every year due to negligence therefore the National Highways and Motorway Police has launched a campaign to inculcate road safety awareness among masses.
