FGEHA issues final notice to G-14/1 occupants

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has issued notices to the affectees and owners of land and houses in Sectors G-14/1, G-14/2, G-14/3, and Jhangi Syedan to get in touch with the authorities concerned and receive compensation.

The housing authority has ordered them to get their dues and vacate the land, a spokesperson shared on Wednesday. He added that all the residents and affectees of the sub-sectors, whose houses are legally built, were asked to submit relevant documents at the FGEHA district commissioner’s office till February 1.

All such owners were also warned that if they do not get their dues settled by the mentioned date, the administration shall not be responsible for any damages that may take place as a result of an operation against the defiant owners, the official maintained.

He stated that measurements for BUP have already started in Sector G-14/1 while award of BUPs was expected by 31 March 2020, however, it has been delayed because occupants have not yet vacated their houses despite being paid a compensation amount.

The official said FGEHA has plans to give possession of the land to allottees within the next couple of months while development work in sub-sectors G 14/2 and G 14/3 is already underway.
