Covid claims 29 more lives in Sindh

Sindh reported 29 more deaths and 543 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by Chief Minister's House on the day, the provincial pandemic tally stands at 248,269 while the death toll has climbed to 4,033.

Another 314 persons also recovered from the contagion overnight, bringing the number of total recoveries in the province to 225,297, read the statement. It added that 2,745,153 tests have been conducted thus far.

According to the CM, 18,939 persons are under treatment for the deadly virus in Sindh. Of these, 18,160 persons are in home isolation, 15 are at isolation centres and 764 have been admitted to different hospitals, where the condition of at 699 persons is stated to be critical. At least 71 persons have also been shifted to the ventilators, added the CM.
