Transporters blocked the Quetta-Karachi Highway for traffic by parking their vehicles in the middle of the road. Passengers travelling on the road had to face a three hour delay due to the severe difficulty caused by the transporters.
The highway was blocked as a protest against stopping buses at the Lakpass check post while going from Panjgur to Quetta. According to sources familiar with the matter, some coaches contain smuggled equipment as well.
However, after three hours of successful negotiations, the buses were diverted and the road was reopened to traffic.
