Rawalpindi police on Saturday arrested a suspect for allegedly blackmailing a woman into having illicit relations for the past one year on false promises of marriage.
In a case registered at the Waris Khan police station, the woman, in her statement, said that the suspect, Mohammad Aqeel, would also blackmail her using inappropriate photos and videos he took while they fornicated on false promises of marriage.
SHO of the police station said that a police team arrested the man after receiving the complaint, adding that the victim is undergoing a “medical process” being carried out by a lady police officer.

He said that the suspect will also undergo the medical procedure and a DNA test.
The SP Rawal Division said that the accused will be challaned with solid evidence to ensure that strict punishment is served to him.
According to the police, the lady was married but the suspect seduced her, ruining her first marriage and later they fornicated on false promises of marriage. The suspect made illicit videos and photos of the victim and later used them for blackmailing her for sex throughout the year.
A physical remand will be sought after producing the suspect before the court. Mobile phone and several other items have been recovered from the suspect for investigation.
According to police officials, the phone will also be decoded, if needed, through a forensic laboratory to collect concrete evidence against the suspect.
