Hit serial 'Ugly Betty' to return on Disney+

Show officially ended in 2010 after 4 seasons

Ugly Betty was a noughties classic loved by many. It followed a nerdy, poorly dressed girl land a job at a swanky New York fashion magazine. Over a decade ago, the show bowed out but now, it's coming back on screens, The Independent reported.

The show initially aired in 2006 till 2010 and only ran for four seasons and was officially broadcasted on ABC and Channel 4. As part of the Star channel launch on Disney+, viewers around the world will be able to watch the show along other TV series and 276 films to be exact.

Silvio Horta’s comedy series was an opposite to the second fashionable series that lead by the title Gossip Girl. In the time of Carrie Bradshaw taking over NYC in fashionable clothes, the dark comedy and Betty is all one needed to blow off the steam.

Eric Mabius, Alan Dale, Tony Plana, Ana Ortiz and many more starred in Ugly Betty and the combination of writing, style and performances have led it to become something of a cult favourite over the years.

Ferrera continued to act after her the series ended. However the actor till this date is remembered as Betty.
