A Kuwaiti delegation, led by Assistant Foreign Minister Ali Suliman Al-Saeed, visited on Thursday the Ministry of Economic Affairs to review the bilateral economic relations. The trip was aimed at moving forward in order to enhance cooperation in economic, trade, oil and gas, energy, investment, agriculture, IT and health sectors. Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division welcomed the delegation and emphasised the need for enhancing bilateral economic relations for the benefit of both countries. The secretary acknowledged the support from Kuwait by extending financing for development projects in Pakistan and the debt suspension facility provided by the Kuwait Fund to overcome the Covid-19 outbreak. During a meeting, both sides agreed to hold next session of the Joint Ministerial Commission in the near future. The assistant foreign minister hoped that the forthcoming meeting of ministerial commission would be instrumental in paving the way for future cooperation between the two countries.
