RAWALPINDI:

The police have registered a murder case against in-laws after the forensic report of a married woman who had mysteriously died six months ago allegedly by poisoning.

Suleman told Wah Cantt Police that his sister Sana Perveen was married to Zaheer Ahmed five years ago.

On July 26 last year, the victim’s in-laws informed her family that she had passed away and they were taking the body to their native town from Wah Cantt.

However, the victim’s family reached there and demanded to hand over the body to which the in-laws refused. Perveen’s family informed the police about their doubts over her death after which police took the body into custody and sent it to Taxila tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospital for an autopsy and forensic samples.

The forensic report has revealed that the victim had died after consuming something toxic. The police have registered a case and started the investigation.
