Two shot dead over petty dispute

Argument started in salon over who should be served first

Two people were killed while four others were injured in a firing incident in Mansooran Chak, Khurrianwala on Sunday. Two of the injured victims were said to be in a critical condition.

According to the police report, Shakeel, Sajid and Shoaib were sitting at the hairdresser’s shop of Kashif, son of Maqbool, in 46GB, Mansooran area of Nishatabad.

An argument started over getting served first during which the Sajid and Shoaib allegedly physically assaulted Shakeel Ahmed. Later, Shakeel angrily went home and brought Bilal, son of Mushtaq, with him carrying Kalashnikov. Shakeel and Bilal arrived at the scene and opened fire. As a result of the incident, 35-year-old Rashid, son of Habib, Bilal, son of Maqbool, died on the spot while 26-year-old Sajid, son of Arif, 27-year-old Wasim, son of Akram, 24-year-old Shoaib, son of Aslam and 8-year-old Farman, son of Buta were injured.

Rescue 1122 personnel rushed them to Allied Hospital Faisalabad. Reportedly, fear and panic spread in the area after the double murder.

Police filed a case under the provisions of double murder and attempted murder and started raids to arrest the accused.
