The death toll due to coronavirus tipped at 4,561 after 24 more deaths were reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours, official data outlined.
According to the data shared by the spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Sunday, the number of coronavirus cases in the province reached 153,410 after the registration of 485 new cases.
The P&SHD confirmed that 263 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, 34 in Faisalabad, 30 in Bahawalpur, 23 in Sargodha, 17 in Multan, 15 in Rawalpindi, 15 in Toba Tek Singh and 14 in Chiniot districts within the last 24 hours.

Other districts that reported less than 10 new coronavirus cases include: nine each in Rahim Yar Khan and Layyah, eight in Nankana Sahib, six each in Gujrat and Dera Ghazi Khan, five in Gujranwala,four each in Jhelum, Sahiwal and Sialkot, three each in Jhang and Khanewal, two each in Mianwali and Vehari, and one each in Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Lodhran, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Bahawalnagar and Pakpattan.
The Punjab health department has conducted over 2.8 million tests for confirming Covid-19 infliction up to the present.
Official sources revealed that as many as 137,678 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab. The provincial health department continues to urge the people to observe government outlined SOPs for protection against the pandemic.
