MOHMAND:

Weary of the ever increasing number of theft incidents in the locality, a grand Jirga of Mohmand tribal district’s Kandharo area has decided to take matters in their own hands by appointing a 48-member Jirga to bring the situation under control.

The Jirga took place on Sunday which was attended by a large number of people. They expressed their dissatisfaction over the steps taken by the local administration and police and decided to take steps on their own to identify and arrest the thieves involved in the ever increasing number of theft incidents.

For the past two months, a gang of thieves is involved in breaking into the houses at night and stealing gold and cash. Despite the repeated complaints, local police has failed to arrest the gang.
