Covid claims 20 more lives in Sindh

748 new infections were confirmed in the province, CM Murad says in a statement

Another 20 coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Sindh on Friday, when 748 new infections were confirmed in the province, according to a statement issued by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Following the recent deaths, the province's coronavirus death toll had increased to 3,875, and Covid-19 tally to 239,934, said the CM.

Besides, he said, with 943 fresh recoveries, the total number of Covid-19 patients who have regained health in Sindh had climbed to 217,863.

Now, the CM added, 18,196 patients diagnosed with the infection are under treatment, 17,222 of whom are in home isolation, 13 in isolation centres and 961 in hospitals.

Among them, the condition of 874, including 84 on ventilators, is critical, he said.
