Four-year-old girl ‘molested’ in Dera Ghazi Khan

Police arrest suspect, gather evidence for trial

A four-year-old girl was raped in Basti Kohar area in the precincts of Wahua police station.

SHO Wahua Abrar Ahmed said the suspect had been arrested.

The plaintiff Allah Ditta told the police that the suspect had raped his four-year-old daughter. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisal Rana took immediate notice of the incident, on which DPO Omar Saeed Malik directed SHO Wahwa police station to arrest the suspect at the earliest.

The RPO said, “The aim of the police is to punish the suspect who committed the horrific brutality against a 4-year-old girl. The suspect should now be given a punishment as per the law that is an example for the society.”

The RPO was informed that the medical test of the victim had been conducted.

The case has been registered in Wahua police station. RPO Rana directed the DPO of Dera Ghazi Khan to personally oversee the investigation of the case and gather concrete evidence against the suspect so that it would lead to a severe punishment for the suspect from the court. The RPO said he would receive daily progress report from the DPO regarding the investigation of the case.
