Student was recording a video when he slipped and was hit by locomotive

DIJKOT:

A young engineering student died after being hit by a train while recording a TikTok video in Samanabad area on Tuesday.

Police handed over the body to the victim’s family after completing legal formalities.

Eyewitnesses said 18-year-old Saim Tabbasum, son of Mohammad Azam, a resident of Chak No263RB Nagan, was recording a TikTok video on the railway track in front of Samanabad Gate of Government College of Technology when the 112 Down Express Train, which was going from Lahore to Multan, hit him.

The victim suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to General Hospital Samanabad in critical condition by fellow students. However, he died before he reached the hospital.

The deceased was pursuing a diploma of associate engineer at the GCT.

According to SHO Samanabad Junaid Gujjar, the student was making a video on the railway track when he slipped and was fatally hit by the train.
