Capital Development Authority (CDA) has given final approval for the Sihala-Kahuta Railway Gate Flyover on Saturday. The project will cost Rs40.5 million.
CDA has awarded the contract to NESPAK for the design of the flyover which is expected to be prepared in two months. As soon as the design is finalised, the foundation of the project will be laid by April 15. MNA Sadaqat Abbasi told The Express Tribune that funds have already been allocated for this mega project and the tender for the project will also be issued as soon as the design is approved.
He also said that the project will be completed within a year. The project will resolve traffic issues in the area that have persisted for the last four decades
With the completion of this project, the traffic situation in this area will be improved as the flyover will be completely signal free, ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow.
