Coronavirus claims 17 lives in Punjab
Over 530 new infections reported in 24 hours

The Covid-19 pandemic has claimed another 17 lives in Punjab with 600 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to data shared by the spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (PP&SHD), the number of coronavirus cases in the province reached 148,488 while the total number of deaths recorded is 4,387.
The PP&SHD confirmed that 285 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, nine in Kasur, seven in Nankana Sahib, 24 in Rawalpindi, 14 in Jehlum, one in Gujranwala, nine in Mandi Bahauddin, one in Hafizabad, 10 in Sialkot, one in Gujrat, 51 in Faisalabad, 23 in Jhang, two in Toba Tek Singh, two in Chiniot, nine in Sargodha, seven in Mianwali, four in Bhakkar, 16 in Multan, two in Vehari, nine in Khanewal, five in Layyah, 20 in Rahim Yar Khan, 11 in Bahawalpur, four in Pakpattan and one in Sahiwal district during the last 24 hours.
The Punjab health department has conducted 2,684,341 tests for Covid-19 so far, while 133,586 confirmed patients have recovered in the province. The services for treatment of coronavirus are available in 256 hospitals across the province where 8,261 beds are reserved for patients of the pandemic. At least 3,744 beds were equipped with oxygen facility and 440 of them are occupied.
