
The Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Ahmad Shah shared on Wednesday that the government is committed to eradicating the menace of drugs from the country.
The minister expressed these views during a meeting with the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Director Dorothy Ngutter who called on him, a spokesperson shared.
The minister thanked for the assistance and cooperation being given by the INL for the elimination of drugs from the society “Elimination of drugs is one of our top priorities,” he said, adding that a better strategy was needed to make the society drug-free.
He further mentioned that cooperation at the national and international level is crucial for a joint fight against drugs while the INL offered training and special training courses for better performance for the force.
