QUETTA:

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau announced that a large-scale operation has been launched against terrorists in Balochistan.

While addressing a high-level law and order meeting in Balochistan, he termed the new ‘wave of unrest’ in the province as a conspiracy hatched by the enemies of Pakistan including anti-national forces. “The operation will be extended till every terrorist is eliminated.”

The report presented on the Machh tragedy was also reviewed during the meeting.

Langau added that Balochistan is the war zone of the region and terrorists are carrying out operations under a plan to destabilise the law and order in the province.

"Terrorists want to divide us on the basis of sectarianism and language. The people have thwarted every attempt of the terrorists in the past and will keep doing so in the future as well," he said.

"We will foil all conspiracies against the country and the province by mutual consent," he added.

Langau further said that full action will be taken against terrorists and their facilitators where ever they are hiding to prevent terror incidents in the future.

"We will go against them to every extent," he added.

Additional Chief Secretary Home Hafiz Abdul Basit, Inspector General of Police Mohsin Hassan Butt, Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG CTD Aitzaz Goraya, Additional Deputy Commissioner Quetta, and other officials were present on the occasion.
