Govt promoting value added sector

Khan assured the delegation of complete cooperation from the government to enhance the capacity of leather industry

ISLAMABAD:

The government is taking steps to promote those industries on priority which are the main source of value-added export goods, said Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Tanners Association on Monday, he said that owing to encouraging and business-friendly policies of the government, the industrial wheel was moving at a rapid pace, bringing tangible improvement as indicated from the economic indicators.

Khan assured the delegation of complete cooperation from the government to enhance the capacity of leather industry to its full scale. The prime minister was apprised of the rising demand for Pakistani leather products across the world, stated a press release. He was informed that local leather was in high demand across the globe due to its supreme quality and affordable cost.
