Faisalabad Covid death toll rises to 344

At least 78 people have tested positive for the virus during the past two days

FAISALABAD:

The coronavirus death toll in the city since March last year climbed to 344 with seven more deaths reported on Thursday.

At least 78 people have tested positive for the virus during the past two days, according to the health department spokesperson.

He said 1,907 coronavirus tests were conducted in public and private sector laboratories during the period. He added that the total active cases in Faisalabad are 362 while 6,660 patients have so far recovered from the disease.

He also highlighted that 550 beds at the Allied Hospital and 85 at the DHQ Hospital have been reserved for the pandemic’s patients, adding that 109 patients, including 34 confirmed cases of Covid, are under treatment at the Allied Hospital while 37, including two confirmed cases of Covid, are admitted in the DHQ Hospital.
