District admin seals 44 businesses

Teams inspected public and private transport vehicles during the crackdown

The district administration sealed 44 shops, restaurants and marriage halls over violation of coronavirus prevention standard operating procedures (SOPs) on Thursday.

According to a spokesperson for the district administration, Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Faizan Ahmed sealed eight shops and four restaurants in his jurisdiction, while a fine of Rs65,000 was imposed on violators.

AC Cantt Zahir Shakir sealed 12 shops, two restaurants and a marriage hall and imposed Rs51,000 worth of fine, while AC Shalamar Mansoor Ahmed Qazi sealed 12 shops and imposed Rs43,000 fine in his jurisdiction.

Teams also inspected public and private transport vehicles during the crackdown.
