ISLAMABAD:

Privatisation matters relating to ministries and divisions should be actively pursued and progress to that effect should be conveyed on a daily basis, said Federal Minister for Privatisation Mohammad Mian Soomro.

Chairing a privatisation progress review meeting on Tuesday, the minister was briefed on the progress regarding various public sector enterprises to be privatised and which had also been made part of the performance agreement of the ministries and divisions.

The ministry was actively pursuing the case so that the desired targets may be achieved within the stipulated time, Soomro said and urged officials to make all-out efforts to resolve the related issues.

Separately, the privatisation minister held a meeting with the minister for industries and production and discussed matters relating to Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) including the valuation of its land to be leased out and other state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
