“Corruption is the root cause of all evils. NAB is committed to make Pakistan corruption free as the fight against corruption is being taken as a national duty,” NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal was quoted as saying in the official statement.

He said that the anti-corruption body was established to eradicate corruption and to recover looted money from corrupt elements. NAB is the focal organisation of Pakistan under the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) as the country has ratified and is a signatory of UNCAC, he added.

“Pakistan is the only country in the world to which China has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for eradication of corruption,” Iqbal said.

It reads that NAB has chalked out a national anti-corruption strategy comprising awareness, prevention and enforcement, which has started yielding excellent results. APP
