This year's 19th Lux Style Awards ceremony was held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic. The ceremony was the first digital awards in Pakistan, where SOPs were followed, and the audience could see the hosts and the stars keeping distance. Covid-19 has transformed the world, but what hasn't it altered is the glitz and glamour of the award night.
Ahmed Butt, Reema Khan, Iqra Aziz, Mansha Pasha, Mehwish Hayat and many others appeared on the stage. Popular Pakistani model Mushk Kaleem was also seen presenting and conversing with stars at the exclusive red carpet.
While the who's who of entertainment industry dressed to impress, not many stood out. Here are some of the best and worst looks adorned at the LSAs.
Best
Mansha Pasha
The Laal Kabootar actor wore an avant-garde piece from ZuriaDor. Pasha flaunted an elaborated white printed floral skirt, paired with an embellished turquoise blouse. She chose the entire look with day makeup, sleek hairstyle and diamond-cut necklace.
What Impressed: Pasha’s dress fits a red carpet event due to its unique style of skirt and blouse. The colour combination itself suited the actor and the way she carried it.
Mehwish Hayat
The Load Wedding actor took the red carpet by surprise in a blue sequin gown by Amato Couture. She went on to complete her look with dewy makeup, diamond jewellery and lightly curled hair.
What Impressed: The hues in the dress brought out the features of Mehwish Hayat and the way she carried it overall.
Worse
Sarwat Gilani
The Churail star carried a classic noir saree by Kanya Couture for the award ceremony. However, the Churails actor played it safe as her look for the evening reminded us of how she carried herself at the PISA awards in 2020. Gilani paired the look with pinned hair, long silver earrings, evening makeup and oversized rings.
Not so Impressive: The actor is known for carrying extraordinary looks at each event. However, her recent LSA look seems beyond ordinary as she dressed in a similar saree on an award show before.
Natasha Baig
In a typical skirt, Baig was seen in a Yasmeen Jiwa on LSA. The denim over fancy lehenga is a repetitive trend that was introduced a few years back. However, the fashion statement is very old and the edgy look carried by Baig could’ve been amped up differently with a different outfit for such a big event.
Not so Impressive: Being up to date with fashion matters on the red carpet. Baig seen in an old-style was a regular thing when the singer is known for her edgy personality.
