Priyanka Chopra Jonas lists her three most 'complex' roles

The actor recently celebrated 20-years of her film career

International superstar, Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s career has spanned two decades. Since bagging the Miss World title in 2000, Priyanka has done a long string of films playing a wide range of characters.

Having made her film debut in the 2003 action drama, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy that also starred Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, Priyanka is currently enjoying a successful stint in Hollywood. She made her entry with the 2015 thriller series Quantico, after which she starred in blockbuster films such as Baywatch.

The actor was also recently revealed to be cast in the much anticipated fourth instalment of The Matrix franchise alongside Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann Moss. Additionally, her upcoming Netflix film The White Tiger in which she is also a producer is set to release in late January 2021.

Looking back at her illustrious 20-year-old career, the Baywatch star recently talked about the characters she found most challenging. Taking to Instagram, in a series of stories, Priyanka listed three films which she thinks allowed her to play the most well-rounded characters, reported Indian Express.

She shared a video montage revisiting the three roles — the devoted wife Kashibai to Maratha warrior Bajirao in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, Jhilmil, a girl with autism, in 2012’s Barfi!, directed by Anurag Basu, and Sussanna, a woman on a seemingly unending quest for love, in 2011’s 7 Khoon Maaf, helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

“ Three such amazing, complex characters I’ve played at different points in time, with depth, conflict and resilience & working with three phenomenal directors…” she wrote in the caption. Here’s a look at these beloved characters.
