Four policemen terminated in Amir Tehkaly case

The police arrested and stripped a man naked while making a video to humiliate him

PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police has terminated four policemen after the judicial inquiry into the infamous Amir Tehkaly case in which police arrested and stripped a man naked while making a video to humiliate him.

In a notification issued by Senior Superintendent Police Operations on Monday, the dismissed policemen included ex-Station House Officer (SHO) Yakatot sub-inspector Imran-ud-Din, constable Tauseef, constable Naeem and ex-SHO Tehkal Shehriyar Ahmad.

The judicial commission, headed by Justice Lal Jan Khattak, was constituted after the incident which caused an up roar on social media across the country.
