Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem called upon Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal at the CM House on Monday. The provincial chief executive assured full support to the athlete."We will take all possible steps for the promotion of boxing in the province,” Jam Kamal said. “A boxing academy will be set up in Quetta to bring talent to the fore.”

The CM added that a mega boxing event will be organised in Balochistan to which world renowned boxers will also be invited. He also congratulated Waseem on his recent victory in Lahore. "Players are ambassadors of any country," the Balochistan CM added. "Athletes belonging to Balochistan will be encouraged at all levels.” He highlighted how the present government has adopted a comprehensive strategy for the promotion of sports. Senator Manzoor Ahmed Kakar, Parliamentary Secretary Dinesh Kumar, Member Provincial Assembly Laila Tareen and Balochistan Government Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani were also present on the occasion.
