Pakistani celebrities honour Quaid-e-Azam on birth anniversary

The entire country celebrated the 144th birthday of the founder of the nation

Pakistanis across the world celebrated the 144th birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah today with traditional zeal and fervour. Social media was flooded with hashtags honouring the father of the nation with many commemorating his birthday.

Keeping their spirits high, several public figures also took to Twitter to express their love for the late Quaid e Azam. Veteran superstar Humayun Saeed took the opportunity to pray that people are able to live by the many lessons taught by the founder of the nation.

"May Allah bless our Quaid's soul and may we be able to imbibe and practice the many lessons he taught us all throughout his great life #QuaidDay," Saeed said.

Likewise, fellow veteran Adnan Siddiqui reminded everyone about the ideals Quaid-e-Azam represented. "Quaid-i-Azam symbolised equality, social justice and fairness in actions and thoughts. He inspires us everyday to love Pakistan and live for it. Respectful tribute Happy Birthday Jinnah," Siddiqui said.

Actor Maya Ali went on to share a famous quote by historian Stanley Wolpert in Jinnah's honour as she thanked the founder. " 'Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three.'" - Stanley Wolpert Thank you, Quaid-e-Azam," she said.

In a similar vein, actor Bilal Ashraf shared a famous quote of Jinnah himself on the auspicious occasion. "With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to the duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you can not achieve - M.A Jinnah Happy Birthday Jinnah," Ashraf said.

Actors Fahad Mustafa and Faysal Qureshi went on to share photos of the late great leader.

TV personality Fakhr-e-Alam discussed how history has gone on to prove Jinnah's vision of Pakistan right. "As history unfolds it is clear that the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah was right... history has proven his vision right... thank you, Quaid, for Pakistan...Happy birthday.... Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah was right," he said.
