At least 3,800 security personnel deployed

News Desk December 25, 2020

Authorities deployed more than 3,800 security personnel in Rawalpindi to ensure the safety of the Christian community over Christmas.

Under the security plan, no one will be allowed to park their vehicles near churches. Instead, the City Traffic Police (CTP) will make arrangements for parking in open areas which will be set up at least a 100 feet away from the buildings.

Moreover, walk-through gates have been installed at the entrance of churches and visitors will be checked using metal detectors. Security at public places, including parks, will also be enhanced for the occasion.
